Thanks for posting this video and your article about the talk.

I've been using PHP since 2002 but never seen or heard Rasmus before!..

Fantastic presenter and very inspiring..

From what I remember it seems Rasmus improved over time. He used to be harsher and even say things like OOP is not a good solution and there is no fun in programming.

Now it seems he is more focused on being positive. The frameworks comment just popped up because somebody asked about it. So he gave his opinion based mainly what he does today, which is consulting to companies that need PHP sites to scale better.
